PRIVACY

When you look at the Australian National University's Fenner School of Environment and Society web site our server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information:

• your browser's internet address
• the pages you accessed and documents downloaded

The Fenner School uses this information for statistical purposes and for system administration tasks to maintain this service.

Once a week, this information is automatically collated into a weekly access summary, listing each web page which has been accessed during the preceeding week, the number of times it has been accessed from within The Fenner School, the number of times it has been accessed from elsewhere within the ANU, and the number of times it has been accessed from outside the ANU. The log file is then automatically deleted.

We do not attempt to identify individuals as part of our regular business practices however in the unlikely event of an investigation, the ANU, a law enforcement agency or other government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect our server's logs.

If at any stage you provide us with your email address either as part of a message or by completing a web form, we will only use your email address for the purposes for which it was provided. We will not subscribe your email address to any mailing list without your consent.
