Cosmic ray sensors for fire and flood warning

The recently invented cosmic ray soil moisture probe is revolutionising our ability to monitor soil and fuel moisture content in near real time over large areas (ca. 30 ha). This project will evaluate the technology through field data collection.

Supervisors: Professor Albert van Dijk, Associate Professor Geoff Cary and Dr Marta Yebra

Candidates should have some experience with scripting languages and programming. A scholarship may be available.
