FAREWELLFarewell (for a while...) to Geraldine Li who finished her work on the IACCIUS project on 1st June, with all eleven reports submitted - a marvellous job of researching, managing, shepherding, organising and cajoling the rest of the team, and the far-flung project partners. Geraldine will maintain a presence as a Visiting Fellow with the School, but in the interim is off overseas for a well-deserved break, albeit one that itself will be broken by an appearance in Davos at the international disasters conference. Farewell also to Eugene (Pie) Wallensky. After a long career at ANU that started at in the Geography Department as a student and ended with him being housed in the Geography building in his Executive Officer for Kioloa position Eugene is retiring. We wish him all the best in his new work in Bali.
