iCAM (the Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management Centre)

iCAM (the Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management Centre) is a highly interdisciplinary research group consisting of social scientists, economists, hydrologists and interdisciplinary modelers.  Our stakeholders are also varied and range from business groups, farmers, government and non-governmental organizations.  A large portion of iCAM's work contributes to Program 5 in the National Centre for Groundwater (NCGRT).

iCAM’s mission is to develop and integrate the knowledge required to clarify management and policy options for sustaining vital water and related resources.  This is underpinned by targeted research co-designed with interest groups in three main areas of focus namely:

  • Integrated Assessment and Modelling (IAM)
  • Hydrological and Ecological Modelling and Prediction
  • Modelling Integration and Evaluation through Sensitivity, and Uncertainty and Scale Assessment
