Cost will be $1200 plus airfare to Viet Nam approx. $1400.
Learn in the field from ANU and Vietnamese staff and students. Spend 2 weeks in Vietnam learning about environment and development issues first hand through home-stays and field work.
Format: a day of preparation seminars in November 2008 followed by two weeks in Vietnam between January 27 to February 12 2010.
Proposed Assessment: Vietnamese language improvement. Learning portfolio that will encourage critical observation and reflection skills and Group project. NB a 12 unit option is also available where students are required to also complete a pretrip major research essay and are required to reserch this topic in the field and give a final end of course seminar.

Prerequisites: 24 units towards a degree.
