Meet Fenner's Affiliates: from groundwater to wine to disaster

An important part of the Fenner School community is our cadre of FSES Affiliates. They contribute enormously to the research and teaching done at the school, and add to Fenner’s diversity while providing valuable connections to a wide range of partner organisations.

This is the second Fenner Affiliates show-and-tell in which Affiliates give short talks on their background and expertise. These sessions are designed to give a chance for FSES staff and students to meet and hear from some of the Affiliates and to find out about their research interests. Each session will consist of a series of 5-minute presentations.

To kick off this first Affiliate’s event in 2018, all FSES staff and students are invited to join us in a BBQ in the John Banks Courtyard at 12.00 noon before the presentations begin at 1 pm (in the Fenner Seminar Room).

For people wishing to attend the BBQ could they please contact Clem Davis (clem.davis@anu.edu.au) by Monday 19 March for catering purposes and dietary requirements.

The Affiliates in this session are:

Steve Dovers: Reviewing recommendations from 55 Post Disaster Inquiries

Mike Hutchinson: Developments and applications of spatial analysis – past, present and future

Richard Reilly: Analytical resources, facilities and equipment available to Fenner researchers

Matthew Colloff: Transforming the way we think and act about adaptation to climate change

Richard Greene: Soils and wine

Andrew Ross: Groundwater policy, training and research
