Dr Tyrone Lavery

Research Fellow

Tyrone is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Conservation and Landscape Ecology group working with the Threatened Species Recovery Hub. His current work focuses on two themes: developing cost appropriate, cost-effective and practical monitoring protocols for Australia's threatened species; and developing methods to assess engagement, uptake, and impact from research pertnerships.

Tyrone has a background in mammalogy, biodiversity survey and island biogeography in Australia and the Southwest Pacific. A large part of this has involved collaboration on indigenous led conservation projects in Melanesia.
