This seminar introduces those working in the environment, sustainability and engineering space to structured, evidence-based approaches for designing effective social and environmental interventions. Come along to learn about using Social Change Mapping framework to articulate desired futures and situate their aspirations for sustainable futures within a systemic context. The session then applies the Theory of Change Canvas to connect identified problems with targeted solutions, measurable impacts, and strategic activities. By combining participatory methods with theory-based frameworks, the seminar provides a transferable methodology for planning, evaluating, and communicating change-oriented initiatives in diverse professional and community settings.
About the Speaker

Dr Tiyana Jovanovic is a social impact strategist, educator, and researcher specialising in participatory approaches to systems change. Drawing on her doctoral research, she has developed innovative visual tools for designing and evaluating impact initiatives, which she delivers through workshops for universities, conferences, not-for-profits, and grassroots organisations. Tiyana’s work bridges theory and practice, equipping changemakers with the skills to turn vision into action for a sustainable and just future.
