Description

Isabelle Dunk's Honours project examines the experiences of contemporary young adults when travelling in the global digital age. She discuss clichés and realities of personal development, identity exploration and international traveller community, investigating how today’s travellers navigate changing tourism systems that result from globalisation and the increasing impacts of digital technologies.

About the speaker

Isabelle sits at a timber table outside with a cup of tea in her hand. There are banana trees in the background, colourful bunting and a hut-like building. There is a lantern in the foreground.

I am an Honours student with passion for ethnographic, qualitative and multi-method modes of inquiry in research. Combining social and natural sciences throughout my undergraduate studies, my broad research interests resulted in an Honours project that draws on sociology, anthropology, and psychology to examine contemporary tourism systems and environments.
