Description
Dr. Montana is based in the ANU Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS). His work applies insights from science and technology studies to investigate and improve the way knowledge and decisions are made about environmental challenges.
In this seminar, he will outline plans for a developing research programme intended to direct greater attention towards the relationship between people and nature as a site for careful and considered monitoring and intervention. In doing so, he hopes to enhance the availability of evidence-for-policy not only about the state of nature, but also about the many ways of life that depend upon the natural world.
