About

Digby is an experienced researcher of the socio-economic dimensions of the interactions between livelihoods-environments-economies. He has explored critical issues facing sustainable livelihoods and development in rural and remote Australia and the Indo-Pacific region, with the aim to create opportunities to achieve livelihood resilience and environmental sustainability. Together with his role at the Fenner School, Digby is an adjunct academic the University of the South Pacific and Linacre College (Oxford University). His most recent professional appointment was as Professor of Land Management and the inaugural Dean of the Graduate School at the University of the South Pacific, Fiji.
