About
Giselle is a conservation biologist with a particular interest in threatened mobile and forest-dependent species, population ecology, species management and recovery. Giselle is currently researching using bioacoustics to monitor critically endangered orange-bellied parrots and related species. In 2018 Giselle joined the Australian National University and Difficult Birds Research Group as an Honours student where she investigated a nest-deterrent strategy for critically endangered swift parrots. Giselle subsequently worked on swift parrot nest monitoring as a technical officer and studied the impacts of extrinsic threats on swift parrot population dynamics in her PhD.
