About
Monica is a PhD student in the Fenner School of Environment & Society, researching urban land use policy decision supports to support government decision making. She has worked in the Australian Government Infrastructure and Treasury portfolios and has been a mentor and mentee of First Nations colleagues in the Australian Public Service. She has also worked and volunteered extensively in various capacities across community radio, sport, music and the arts.
She served as Secretary with Handball Queensland in 2024-25 and is currently an Executive Committee member with the Pedestrian and Bicycle Transport Institute of Australasia.
Her academic and professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to planetary resilience, sustainable urban systems, community development, environmental and human resource stewardship.
