Nicolas is a geospatial and remote sensing scientist with a physical geography and environmental science background. During his PhD he applied machine learning methods to study multi-scale coastal dynamics with field, UAV and satellite-borne optical sensors (hyper and multispectral). Currently, he is involved in the Australia-scale single-tree height mapping using Planet and Maxar's WorldView very high resolution satellites.

Moreover, Nicolas is the developer of the Python package Sandpyper and he is also the Vice President of the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Student Consortium.
