The ANU Research Forest at the National Arboretum Canberra is proving to be an ideal place to "see" trees and forests in a new way. Researchers from Fenner and RSB at the ANU, along with partners at CSIRO and ProUAV are collecting data from new generation sensors and networks then combining them in enhanced reality engines to help find new patterns to help explain forest dynamics.
These projects engage everybody from award winning scientists through to students working on small projects that enhance their programming skills and work experience.
