About
Aryanie is a climate and environmental policy specialist currently undertaking research on corporate and financial sector sustainability as a PhD Candidate at the Fenner School of Environment & Society supported by the ANU University Research Scholarship.
Her research aims to critically assess and advance sustainability policies, standards, and practices especially in their linkages with global environmental limits and targets, particularly the Planetary and Earth System boundaries. In doing so, she analyses corporate sustainability standards and ratings and applies the novel Earth System Impact score in agrifood sector case studies, identifying opportunities to strengthen public policies, disclosure, and action related with corporate environmental sustainability.
Her research will be informed by her experience in research, advisory, and program management in climate change reporting, carbon markets, climate finance, and climate resilience. She has worked with UNICEF (Indonesia), South Pole (Indonesia), Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (Japan), and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) cooperation project with the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
Aryanie received her master’s degree in international cooperation and development from the University of Pavia Institute for Advanced Studies (Italy) supported by university scholarship and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia).
