About
Harrriet has been a member of the ANU Professional Staff since 2011 after spending the decade prior working in Arts Administration, Education (pre-tertiary) Administration and Human Resources. Prior to commencing in her role in the School in late 2015, she previously held positions in both the School of Music (CASS) and the Centre of Arab and Islamic Studies (CASS).
Harriet is one of the longest serving members of the Professional Staff team and carries the reputation of being the person most likely to know the answer to almost any question, particularly in relation to the School’s curriculum and teaching and learning activities. She may also be the fastest talking member of staff in the School (and perhaps the campus). While her current role (Administration Manager) reaches out across all aspects of the business of the School, it does retain a strong focus around supporting the curriculum, the School’s teaching and learning activities and – obviously – improving student experience.
Harriet is a creative thinker with a proven ability to conceptualise, design and implement processes to solve problems and automate administrative tasks. Not intimidated by technology she is an advocate to see it utilised creatively and effectively within the School to support its students and exceptional teaching staff. Harriet enjoys being surrounded by a team of academic and professional staff colleagues who share her strong desire to strive for and showcase best practice in teaching and learning as well as in all facets of administration.
Outside of the office you will most often find Harriet spending time with her family and friends, taking photographs or training her body (and calming her mind) at a local powerlifting gym.
